Hi everyone! Monique here sharing an “Hello Heather “Here & There“” layout with you. I was so happy when my daughter told me she was going to travel to Paris! Ever since I laid eyes on the designer collection “Here & There” I wanted to use that Eiffel Tower die-cut and vellum tape, but the last time I visited Paris I only went to Disney and never even saw the Eiffel Tower. And the last time I did see the Eiffel Tower the quality of the photos was still so terribly bad (must have been 25 years ago!) I can’t ever show you those! But now I’ve got a (almost) grown-up daughter who provides me with lots of photos to scrap, like the one I used today! Here’s what I made:
Last Sunday I attended a workshop from the well known Paige Evans and she got us to work on layouts using water color paints and embroidery threads and I felt so inspired I decided to use those techniques on this layout as well. Love how it turned out! After I painted the outside of the embroidered heart I used almost an entire package of gold metallic dipped die-cut hearts to fill the large heart shape and then decorated those a little as well. For this I used both die-cuts and stickers.
And here’s a close-up of the cluster on the left of my photo. The flowers are stickers, the Eiffel Tower is a die-cut and below the “Hello” card is a piece of vellum tape. I’m so happy I finally got to use all this!!
