Tessa here, with an easy school organization tip/layout embellishment. Now that school has started and we are getting into a routine, I have been re-working our homework space to help my boys stay organized. One of my sons needs to keep track of the books he reads so that he can take quizzes on them and earn points. He reads so much that if he doesn’t make a list of what he has read, he forgets and doesn’t get all of his quizzes taken. So, I decided to make him a library pocket with the Silly Monkey line.
To make your own library pocket, these are the supplies you will need:
- a blank library pocket
- Silly Monkey flair button
- Silly Monkey bookmark card
- Silly Monkey label
- Silly Monkey word stickers
- Silly Monkey star stickers
- Silly Monkey bookmark packaging
- not shown: pen, adhesive, date stamp, ink
Start with the blank library pocket and begin to layer your cards, labels, and embellishments:
Add some interest with word and star stickers:
For an insert, look to the Silly Monkey packaging. The ledger design is perfect for writing out a list.
I trimmed the packaging down and added a date stamp:
When the trimester is over, I plan to take a photo of him with his reading certificate and then use this library pocket as part of the layout about his achievement. So, stay tuned!
