12×12 | 100% Irish (Today Only)

Hey, y’all!  It’s Jinny here today, popping in to share a page inspired by Heather Doolittle’s newest XOXO Collection and our upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

I started this page by adding a large puddle of green watercolor to the 12″ x 12″ watercolor, paper, base page and splattering it with that same shade.  I then rubbed Tattered Rose Distress Ink, through a vertically-placed, chevron stencil, across the background and stamped it, in Jet Black and Garden Green inks respectively, with the hash marks and clovers.  Everything was then splattered once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  A trio of prints from the XOXO Collection, including a strip of Cloud 11 Rose Gold Metallic Vellum, were then anchored, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching, vertically, over my background.  My photo was matted with white cardstock and backed with a snippet of cheesecloth for texture, as well as Sweetheart Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, and Darling Journaling Die-Cut Tag, secured with a couple of staples.  An Us Flair Button, backed with a tangle of black thread, tops them.

My “100% Irish (TODAY ONLY)” title was created from a Cameo-cut, from Basic Black cardstock, “100% Irish”…

a “TODAY” Love Today 3×4 Journaling Card, stapled in place and backed with another Darling Journaling Die-Cut Tag, which I used to record my Thurs., Mar. 17, 2016, date; and Love Story Alphabet Stickers to spell the word “ONLY”.

A sweet clover, Cameo-cut from the I’m Yours print and dressed up with a color-coordinating button, laced with white string, embellishes the bottom right corner of my photo; and a “let’s get together” February 2018 Freebie, phrase strip, hand-cut in the shape of a pennant, as well as a “LOVE THE LITTLE THINGS” Adore You Cut-Apart Word Flag, both of which were anchored with another Us Flair Button, backed with a tangle of black thread, grounds the design.

“i’m so lucky” Love Story and “captured” Lovely Words Black Word Stickers

and a trio of Hello Lovely Word Die-Cut hearts, popped up with foam tape and given a little shine with Glossy Accents, complete the look.

Thanks for humbling us with a visit!  Have a blessed Sunday, Pretty Little Studio friends!
