12×12 Double Page | Anapara, MX

Welcome to the weekend, y’all!  It’s Jinny here today to share a two-pager, highlighting Ashley Horton’s Wish You Were Here Collection.  Enjoy!

Strangely enough, I did absolutely no mixed-media work to get these pages started.  I simply matted my photos with white cardstock; grabbed a couple sheets of textured, white cardstock; and went to work.  So, let’s jump right to the specifics of the left side of my design.

The vertical, “ANAPARA, MX” title was Cameo-cut from the Globe Trotter print; layered over an Autumn Blossom Die Cut and behind “dare to dream” Daily Dreams Die-Cut Words

and a duo of On the Go Word Stickers.  A couple of white, cardstock strips, popped up with foam tape, house a portion of my journaling, which reads, This was Ezekiel’s 1st mission trip, to Mexico, with BJ.  His favorite part of the build was learning how to stucco.

Beginning in the top, left quadrant and moving in a clockwise direction, I anchored a piece of the Get Lost print with pink-threaded, straight, machine stitching and behind a strip of red houndstooth, anchored with blue-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  A folded sheet of Now Boarding Vellum tops them both and backs my first photo.

A “JUST GO.” Fernweh Die Cut fills the top, right quadrant.  It was stapled in place and topped with an Off the Grid Label, stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the “With Christ All things are possible” phrase and anchored, at its far right end, with a One Way Flair Button, backed with a tangle of pink thread.

My second photo was backed with a snippet of cheesecloth and adhered over a strip of the Roam print, anchored with red-threaded, straight, machine stitching, and a piece of You Are Here paper, anchored with blue-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  It was also topped with a large Autumn Blossom Die Cut, which spills over onto the right side of the design, as well as an “awsomness”, Make It Happen Wood Veneer, word bubble.

A llama Baggage Claim Shipping Tag, laced with Baker’s Twine, tied in a bow, embellishes the center, left space.  It was also popped up with foam tape and had a couple of Fernweh Die-Cut tickets tucked under its right edge.

The bottom, left corner was filled with a square of the Bon Voyage print, anchored with pink-threaded, straight, machine stitching; Cambridge 4″ Doily; my third photo; and a “the locals”, Baggage Claim Shipping Tags, phrase strip, popped up with foam tape.

My fourth and final photo, on the left side of the design, was simply topped with a couple of additional, No Prob-Llama Die-Cut and Baggage Claim Shipping Tags, phrase strips, the latter of which was popped up with foam tape.

Moving to the right side and continuing in a clockwise motion…

the top, left quadrant was dressed up with a Jumbo Laura Tab, topped with a Baggage Claim Shipping Tag, laced with Baker’s Twine, tied in a bow.  The latter was also popped up with foam tape and used to journal, June 2015, $5,000/3 days = 2-room home to family of 5.

My top, center photo was simply popped up with foam tape and topped with a “capture”, Make It Happen Wood Veneer, word bubble, as well as a cute, little, camera clip from my stash.

The top, right photo was laid atop a square of the Stand By print, anchored with blue-threaded, straight, machine stitches, and topped with another On the Go Word Sticker, as well as an additional, Make It Happen Wood Veneer.

A trio of embellishments top the third photo on this right side of my design, including a yellow Polaroid from our June 2017 Freebie package; “love” Clear Word Art, secured with a couple of staples; and “best trip ever” Paradise Phrase Strips Cut-Out Tag, popped up with foam tape.

The bottom, right photo was backed with previously-mentioned, Wish You Were Here prints, both of which were anchored with machine stitching, and a second snippet of cheesecloth.

I secured a square of the Globe Trotter print, with blue-threaded, straight, machine stitching, in the bottom, center quadrant and topped it with another folded sheet of Now Boarding Vellum, as well as a photo, which was further embellished with a One Way Flair Button, backed with a tangle of blue thread; lone Autumn Blossom Die Cut; and “summer” die cut, popped up with foam tape.  If you can place the collection that final embellishment came from, let me know.  I seem to have lost that information.

A CUTE-AS-CAN-BE, pink, No Prob-Llama Die-Cut llama, popped up with foam tape, is simply all the embellishing the bottom, left quadrant needs.  Swoon!

My final photo was backed with a couple of previously-mentioned, Wish You Were Here prints, both of which were anchored with machine stitching, as well as a piece of Over the Rainbow Clear paper and fourth and final Autumn Blossom Die Cut.

Finally, we’ve made it to the end.  Woohoo!  I filled the last space with a Bucket List 3×4 Pocket Card, cut to size; backed with a strip of the Roam print, anchored in the same way as its twin on the left side of the design; topped with a Lift bottle cap from my boys’ travels; and used to house the last of my journaling, which reads, In the photo below, the father is smiling @ his new, ceiling fan.  I made those curtains waving in the background.  So happy!

Phew!  I hope you got all that ;).  Thanks so much for dropping in!  Have a blessed weekend, Pretty Little Studio friends!
