Hi everyone! Carole here to share a layout with you that I created using the collection, Winter Joy by Marie-Pierre Capistran. The paper in this collection is so pretty and I especially love the paper with the music notes! My daughter plays violin and recently auditioned to be in the Symphony Orchestra in her high school. There were 20 students who auditioned for 6 spots. I told her to believe in herself and give it her best! She did and made it! I am so proud of her! So when I found the photo of her middle school orchestra teacher introducing her to the violin for the first time, I had to use it in this layout! The music note paper was perfect for this project!
I started out with a sheet of 12×12 white cardstock. I matted the photo with 8×8 Mon Beau Sapin paper, Wood Pine Paper, and black card stock with a splash of gold color shine spray. I placed the matted photo onto corrugated cardboard for added texture. I created a block style background using paper from the Winter Joy paper pack, Twinkle, and 8×8 Our Tree paper. I completed the layout using simple embellishments, ribbon, handwritten journaling, gold and black ink, and a hand drawn border. I am so pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have an awesome weekend!
