Card Challenge

Jack can be girly, too!  I flipped the sketch upside down for my take on it, using two photos and a 3×4 card in the place of the last photo…I just love all the layers of Jack…from the cute circle tabs to the moon die cut and the flair…they just add all the special touches that make the layouts so meaningful.

I really like this sketch because of all the layering.  Instead of three photos at the top I chose to highlight one photos flanked by two similar shaped cards. I added some wood veneer to play off the woodgrain texture of the PLS paper. I kept the title at the bottom – for this I used a digital brush from Studio Calico and printed it right onto my 8×8 background.

When I thought of creating a page following this sketch I was trying to find a story that would require 3 photos and I remembered that I wanted to record a raid adventure I participated in with my husband, back in 2007. I used three small photos to sum up the event and I felt the need to add two more pictures to tell the story, so when my page was done, I found a little spot on the side for them.

Since the adventure was taking place in the great outdoors, I thought it was only fitting to use the Nature Walk collection. The colors fitted perfectly!

I have a soft spot for Halloween collections and Pretty Little Studio’s “Scaredy Cat” is no exception. I love the color “orange” and I love the combination with white, grey, black, lime green and purple!! Except for the fabulous colors, I also love the fun designs very much. So when I found these photos of my youngest son and his bff playing super hero I knew straight away which collection I wanted to use! Love how this collection can be used for non-Halloween projects!

I couldn’t wait to get Baby Claire to work on this Sketch.

I cut a piece of 6×6 baby hanna to 4×6 to make the journaling card/mat for my 2×2 photos.  I cut 6×6 baby ava in strips and cut tails. I was still unsure of a title, but when I cut the tails on the baby ava strips I knew I wanted the title to be go fly a kite. How perfect do these Dear Lizzy Thickers work with Baby Claire.  After creating this layout I kinda fell in love with Baby Claire
