Morning, y’all! It’s Jinny here today, popping in to share a sweet page, inspired by the new Dream Big Collection, not to mention all the scrumptious angles in the Pinterest photo below. Their combination challenged me to pull a couple photos of my daughter during her swimming class five years ago now, as well as to use Creative Scrappers’ Five Pieces Background cut file. Enjoy!
I started this page by using said cut file to cut a handful of yummy, different, Dream Big prints and anchored them all, to a textured, white, cardstock, base page, with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches, leaving a 1″ margin around their edges. I then applied a small amount of gesso behind where my photos, which were matted with white cardstock, would lie and topped it with lots of yellow, pink, and aqua, watercolor puddles and splatters. After stamping several waves and water splashes in Melon Mambo ink, I splattered the entire page once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Four of the My Darling Frames, two of which were secured with a couple of simple staples…
in combination with a Beautiful Bookmark Journaling Card and snippet of cheesecloth, back my photos, the smaller of which was popped up with foam tape…
and a My Darling Die-Cut scallop, as well as the “shine bright” So Sweet Word Die Cut title, ground them.
A trio of Day Dream Die-Cut clouds, two of which were popped up with more foam tape, top the design and give that sweet, little, Spring Fling Animal Die-Cut duck a jumping off point…
and the Beautiful Bookmark Journaling Cards butterfly, not to mention a “the best smile” So Sweet Die Cut, a landing spot.
A “so sweet” My Darling Frame + Die Cuts circle, as well as an “ENJOYING OUR LIFE” Adore You Cut-Apart Word Flag, anchored with a simple button, laced with white string, completes the look.
Here’s that Pinterest photo that inspired it all.
