Morning, y’all! It’s Jinny here today with a page inspired by the pink slug bug below. It made me think of this photo of our road trip to Branson, Missouri about a year and a half ago and influenced the soft palette you see below.
I started this page by adding a few yellow and aqua, watercolor puddles to the 12″ x 12″ watercolor, base page. I then splattered over those puddles with those same shades of watercolor, as well as a bright pink watercolor and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Once everything was dry, I anchored a number of prints, some of which were hand-cut in the form of pennants, from our Here Comes the Sun and Blooming Hearts Collections, with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitching, over those watercolor puddles. The photo, which was matted with white cardstock and backed with a folded piece of Diagonal Pink Vellum and a little cheesecloth for texture, takes center stage over the prints. It’s bottom left corner was then dressed up with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on watercolor paper and watercolored slug bug, which I hand-cut out and popped up with foam tape. A “go.see.do” Paradise Phrase Strip trails behind it…
and a number of Floral Bouquet Die Cuts, some of which were popped up with foam tape for dimension, were tucked under it.
A Picnic Tag, laced with white string, peeks out from the left side of the photo…
and a few more Floral Bouquet Die Cuts, as well as a GeoTag Sticker and Loving You Cut-Apart Label, which was anchored with a couple of staples and used to house the date and location of my photo, top it.
Continuing in a clockwise motion, a “remember” To the Moon & Back Sticker; “vacation” Milan Mini Word; and couple of Fluffy Clouds…
point to the folded and stapled, top right corner of the page, which partially reveals a portion of our Sunset print and partially conceals a hot air balloon Higher Die Cut. Another Fluffy Cloud, popped up with foam tape, as well as a “love you EVERYDAY” Lovely Circle…
turns our attention to the “october road trip” title, which was formed from a Cameo-cut, from Basic Black cardstock, “october” and Road Trip Clear Word Art and completes the look.
And here’s that Pinterest photo that inspired it all.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday, Pretty Little Studio friends!
