Hello! Jill here with a new page using the fab Here + There collection! I was inspired by one of the gorgeous patterned papers in the line and used it as the basis of my layout, creating lots of texture on my page by adding some machine stitching.
I cut the Louvre paper into strips, using the lines of triangles as my guide. I placed the strips on a sheet of solid swiss dot cardstock, then used my sewing machine to loosely follow the lines of the triangles. I’m not someone who shoots for perfection or sews in nice straight lines, so my wonky stitching didn’t bother me at all.
I added the photo near the bottom of my stitched strips, layering it on a few tags; I was going for a more simple layout this time so I didn’t mat the photo like I usually do. I trimmed off the bottom of a planner sticker and placed it on one of the tags.
A few die cuts and a planner sticker add to the page, keeping it girly but simplistic.
I love the size of these word die cuts!
Washi strips below the photo mimic the paper strips above. I added my title here with some of the alpha stickers from the collection, stitching through them to tie in the stitching on the top of the page.
A few word stickers finished off my page.
Thanks for stopping by the PLS blog today!
