Pinterest Inspired | You Have My Heart

Morning, Pretty Little Studio friends!  It’s Jinny here today.  I trust you’ve all had a great start to the work weeks.  Ours has been a little chaotic, but that’s beginning to be more the norm than the exception in my life.  I just need a little time to relax and unwind.  I’m hoping that can happen, when we take our Spring Break, here in just a few days; but until then, I’ve been using my nights, since my days are filled with that chaos alluded to above, to work on a number of projects featuring Claudia van Rooijen’s new With All My Heart Collection.  I’m so excited to be showcasing one of them, for you all, this morning.  Enjoy!

I started this page by adding a few watercolor puddles and speckles to a 12″ x 12″, watercolor paper, base page.  I then used a number of delicious prints from the collection, including strips of Pink Adore You Vellum and Gold Metallic You & Me paper, to frame and surround each element.  Some of those papers, including a My Heart 3×4 Journaling Card, which I used as my “you have my heart” title, were even anchored with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching, before everything was splattered with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.

Moving clockwise, you’ll find my photo, which was matted with white cardstock; backed with a Cambridge 4″ Doily; and surrounded with a Cameo-cut, from Precious paper, heart.  I also stapled a Cherish Die Cut tab to its top right edge…

and grounded it with another My Heart 3×4 Journaling Card, which I used to house my journaling, along with a number of Love Story Word Stickers.  It reads, This photograph of you & me was taken @ one of the most exciting times in my life.  We were celebrating Jana & Corey’s marriage; & I was leaving for CO, to take my dream job, the next morning.  We were so in love.  You’re my world.  But I wasn’t going to be the girl who gave it all up to have us not work out.  I had & still have faith in us.  You have my heart.

A We Belong Together Gold Metallic 3×4 Journaling Card, from our other new Blooming Hearts Collection, which you’ll see lots more of, from me, in the near future, backs a You & Me Bracket Die Cut in the bottom left corner.  The latter was then topped with a Yellow Rose Vintage Die Cut, surrounded by a Flutter Frame + Tab Die Cut and embellished with an XOXO Flair Button, backed with a tangle of gold thread, and a Cherish Die Cut label, used to house my July 29, 2000, date and an “on this day” Love Story Word Sticker.

A Sweetheart Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, and topped with a pink button, laced with white string, as well as a Sweetheart Mini Cut-Apart Word, secured with a staple…

and sprinkling of My Favorite and Love You Sticker flowers complete the look.

And here’s the pinterest photo that inspired me to use this collection, in particular, to showcase one of my favorite photos of my hubby and I, long before we were such.  I was also drawn to throw in lots of that scrumptious aqua color, as well as one of Claudia’s hallmark, watercolor hearts in the form of the XOXO Flair Button.

Thanks so much for visiting us!  Have a terrific Tuesday!
