Happy Sunday, y’all! It’s Jinny here today, sharing a page boasting such a conglomeration of collections, that I wasn’t even sure where to file this one. Bits and pieces from our Woodland and Summer Vibes Collections stand out immediately; but one also can’t miss those scrumptious, Oh Deer Wood Veneer stars from the new Tinsel Town Collection or the hand-drawn clouds from our Here Comes the Sun Collection. It’s just a mix of everything, which I couldn’t possibly love any more; and it all surrounds a photo of my brother-in-law and his beautiful bride on their wedding day this past summer.
I started this page by watercoloring large puddles of blue watercolors onto a piece of 12″ x 12″ watercolor paper. I then speckled the page with those same shades of blue, as well as a little purple watercolor and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints, after smudging Pumice Stone Distress Ink through a punchinella stencil. A number of prints were hand-cut in the shape of pennants and anchored, vertically, over the watercoloring, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching. I then filled the top portion of those pennants with a stack of prints, as well as a couple sheets of vellum. The prints themselves were anchored with more silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching. A couple of Robin Garland Flags were also added to the stack; and everything was topped with my photo, which was matted with white cardstock. The photo itself was sandwiched between a Salt Lake Clear Shipping Tag, laced with Charcoal twine; Chrysanthemum Shipping Tag, laced with blue Baker’s Twine, tied in a bow; and a Winter Joy Tab on the left…
and a Picnic Tag, laced with hemp twine, tied in a bow, on the right. Die-cut, from Always Artichoke and white cardstocks and vellum, branches were tucked in behind the stunning Lilacs Vintage Die Cut, which really inspired this whole page.
It was then topped with a Monarch Die Cut, partially backed with a tangle of silver thread and a die-cut, from Bashful Blue cardstock, butterfly. A Heart You Flair Button can be seen through a butterfly wing, and a “LOVE THIS” Nature Word Flag Sticker juts out just below it.
The “summer LOVIN'” title was created from an Aloha Die Cut, popped up with foam tape, and indispensable ABC Noir Stickers and grounded with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, “oh happy day”.
I also stamped a “love warms our hearts” phrase, as well as the “BIG DAY MAY 21 2016” date just across the hand-cut and stitched pennants from the title and topped them with a “cherish this” Magical Words Sticker.
Another stamped “HELLO”, along with a couple of Bloom Word and Aloha Die Cut phrases top the design…
where you’ll also find a lone Here Comes the Sun Die Cut cloud, popped up with foam tape and tucked in behind a Cambridge 4″ Doily. I couldn’t help but share one final closeup, just to show off the woodgrain detail in this Tree Topper Sticker star. I’ve thrown a couple more onto the page, but they share only the color, not the design, of this one. A scattering of Oh Deer Wood Veneer and Yellow Confetti Mix stars, as well as a trio of large stars, hand-cut from our Metallic Big Silver Star print, complete the look.
Thanks, as always, for humbling us with a visit! Have a truly amazing week, Pretty Little Studio friends!
