Here in the South, we are getting ready for spring. The weather may still be cold, but I know that budding flowers and chirping birds are right around the corner! So to celebrate, I thought it would be fun to make a few all-occasion cards that have a springtime theme. I know they will be just the thing to chase away any winter blahs!
I mounted most of my journaling cards on plain white cardstock that was approximately 1/4 inch larger than the card on all sides. Then I folded each mounted journaling card in half, which turned it into an instant notecard. These small note cards are the perfect size to showcase all the fantastic Pretty Little Studio vintage diecuts. I used Daniel, Carter, and Lucy on three of my cards. I put pop-dots behind each of my diecuts so they would stand out more.
My note cards are also just the right size to add a sweet sentiment and a couple of Mint Chip Bunting Flags, such as I did here.
I did something a little different with my last notecard.
I really wanted the image of the little girl to stand out on my notecard, so instead of folding my journaling card, this time I cut it in half. I mounted the image of the little girl onto a slightly larger piece of white cardstock. I then put pop-dots behind this image and placed it on top of a small card I made using my Mint Woodgrain paper, white cardstock, and a piece of ribbon. Finally, I used a butterfly punch to create butterflies from the remaining half of the journaling card and glued them to the front of my card.
Have you used any of the Pretty Little Studio vintage diecuts? They are perfect for cards and so much more!
