Good morning all! Welcome back to our final day of inspiration with January guest designer, Jamie Leija!
Jamie here for my last day guest designing for Pretty Little Studio. It’s been a blast and I’m glad to have met you!
My final project is a 9×12 pocket page that uses a mix of 4×6 and 3×4 pockets. I like to mix black and white and color photos on the same page. I like the contrast and also black and white photos just feel so classic!
I used 4-3×4 journaling cards and added a little embellishing to each one. The first, I adhered vellum washi tape to the top and bottom and then drew a line around the card with a pen. For the second, I adhered some star die-cuts and added a sticker. The third, I just added letter stickers and a sequin. But for texture, I machine stitched on the bottom of the pattern. For the last, I simply added a rose gold edge label and used a date stamp to include the date. Voila!
I’ve never really done this before, but I added a journaling block directly to the photo collage I created in Photoshop Elements. I think it worked really well! I like that its flanked by two photos and that its in long skinny rectangular shape, which isn’t a shape you often see on pocket pages. Also, I was still able to keep all of the pretty cards I wanted to use!
Y’all, it’s been so fun to guest blog for Pretty Little Studio. I hope you had fun too! Keep up with me on Instagram at @jamie_makes. I’d love to hear from you!
