December is approaching really fast and here I am, trying to finish my December Daily 2015 before December comes! I think I focussed on: keeping it simple! Yes! I stopped my December Daily last year on day 12 which means I still have a lot of pages ahead! Keeping things uncomplicated was the only way for me to reach my goal! Let me show you some pages I made:
So last year I had stop my album with that page on the left. I was into stitching and decorating a lot. I couldn’t possibly continue like this this year. The right page is much simpler. And it’s ok to mix things up a bit and make them go with your life situation at the moment. I really love these number cards with the little Santa. They are a fun way to embellish and add a number at the same time.
One thing I have to fight something is my desire to not cover the paper or cards. You see that card on the right, theres a lot f it that is hidden by the photo. But I decided to go for it. The part showing can let us read Holidays and we see some branches and it might be just enough holiday cheer. 🙂
Day 14 –
The red star is from this patterned paper. I just fussy cut one out of it. I really love the metallic gold tree patterned paper.
I used a golden label and a candy cane die cut mixed with other small products I had to create a cute cluster.
Day 15 –
Metallic papers are totally my jam! I cut out a 3×4 card out of my red striped patterned paper and I added a layer of gold glitter paper (I used my silhouette to cut a tag into it) and I finished it off with the cute deer die cut. I love that this page is all red and white.
day 16 –
I started using the Winter Joy collection I designed for this year’s Christmas and that totally made me happy!
I used a card from the Holiday Cheer collection. I thought the colors were perfect to go with the Winter Joy collection. That little polaroid frame that I’ve cut out from this patterned paper is perfect to add journaling. And I like the die cut cluster peeking out from behind the letter.
Day 17 –
Very simple. A journaling card, some die cuts and a date stamp is all you need to recreate this.
I’m still not done with my album, but I know I’ll finish it before December arrives. What about you? Are you prepping your 2016 album already?
