12×12 | Baseball

Jinny Newlin_header

Hey, y’all!  Welcome to the weekend!  It’s Jinny here today, sharing a page that showcases pics of my big kiddo playing fall baseball about this same time last year.

I started this page by using my Cameo to cut the Three Gears cut file from a 12×12 piece of watercolor paper.  After backing each gear with its own print, I added a little blue watercolor to everything.  Once it was dry, I stamped a few strategically-placed stars in Jet Black ink and splattered everything with that same blue watercolor, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  I then placed my photos, which were matted with white cardstock, over a piece of Spiderweb vellum and sandwiched between a journaling card from the new Summer Vibes Collection

and that darling Henry Vintage Die Cut.  Isn’t he a doll?!

The “baseball” title was Cameo-cut from Brilliant Blue cardstock and placed over the Cameo-cut, from our Night Stroll print, “TODAY”.  A Nature Word Flag Sticker helps to emphasize the whole theme of the page.  The title itself was topped with both a hand-cut, Camellia Phrase Strip, anchored with a Happy Journey Flair Button, and a Sunny Clear Word Art; and a happy mix of Spain Star Die Cuts and hand-cut, from our Metallic Big Silver Star print, stars dress up the entire design.

My photos were topped with a France Frame and Catmint Tab, which I used to etch my date…

and grounded with a Lantana Cut Apart Label, to which I stabled a “happy” Bloom Word Die Cut, as well as a Salt Lake Clear Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow.  A little journaling; trio of phrase stickers…

scattering of Ocean Blue Confetti; and an All Day Flair Button, backed with a tangle of silver thread, complete the look.

Thanks so much for humbling us with a visit, Pretty Little Studio friends!  Now, get out there and make your weekend a creative one.  Hugs!
