I used the seashells paper (sand castle collection) and decided to create origami fold to create dimension. First, cut out one of the square. Then fold it into half or into a triangle. With one of the fold, create a crease just slightly below and fold it down. You will get a diamond shape where the bottom is bigger than the top.
From the bottom – left to right:
Now all you need to do is to repeat the same process just like doing fan fold but each fold you need to fold it slightly below from the one before. Fold it for about 3-4 times and you are done. On my layout, I sewed them down by stitching over the sewing machine to enhance and add interest to the origami folds.
